Processing, microstructure and mechanical properties of high-strenth Mica and Leucite based glass-ceramics
Biography
At present (as DST-National Post Doctoral Fellow & Co-PI of Project), I am working at Materials Science Centre, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur; on the mica and leucite based glass-ceramics for bio-application, in particular for dental restoration. In my first Post Doctoral study at Materials Science Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, India.
I worked on the synthesis and fabrication of aluminosilicate glass and corresponding glass-ceramic for study in radioactive waste immobilization and radiation damage tendency by using ion-beam irradiation and characterization tools DSC, XRD, FESEM, EXAFS, XPS, Raman and nanohardness indentation.
